Clinics
Clinics will cover teaching on preparing a horse for farrier visits, basic hoof care, common lamenesses and prevention tips, shoe types and uses, and a Forging demonstartion that shows the making of a fullered front shoe with toe clip and fullered hind shoe with quarter clips from bar stock steel.
Hot/Cold Shoeing
Cold shoeing is faster to accomplish since the making of quality shoes and nails. Hot shoeing is used for shoes that need clips drawn, as the clips will fit more affectively when the shoe is burnt on to fit. Hot shoeing is also useful for the specialty made shoes, horses that are in wet climates, and shoes fit more affectively on the hoof when it is burnt to fit.
Theraputic Shoeing
Theraputic shoeing is also known as 'corrective' shoeing. I am willing to use theraputic shoeing upon the recomedation of the attending vetrinarian. This includes shoes for horses diagnosed with Laminitis/Founder, Navicular, Abcesses, Gravel, ect.
